¹ These S7A and ADS Versions require the so-called Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package. This Package is not part of the Zip File. You can download this package from the Microsoft Download Center. Just enter “Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) ” into your search engine. In most cases the first entry of your search result will direct you to the appropriate Microsoft site. It is mandatory to install this package before the S7A setup.exe is executed.

Note: The S7A and ADS driver on Windows Server 2012 R2 require the Service Pack 1 of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package! The file version of the file vcredist_x86.exe has to be greater or equal to 9.0.30729.17!

² The version 7.52 and 8.00 require a specific license code on the USB dongle. Licenses with version 7.16 to 7.51 can be upgraded to version 7.52 or 8.00. Please use our Support Request Form to request information on how to upgrade your old S7A license(s) to this new version.

³ The S7A version 8.00 does not any longer support the fieldbus protocols PROFIBUS and PROFINET! Instead please use the S7A version 7.53. This version supports PROFIBUS, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CC-Link and EtherCAT in conjunction with the Hilscher cifX fieldbus cards.

netX communication module in HAT format

The netHAT module upgrades a Raspberry Pi® to a Real-Time Ethernet capable slave device allowing the exchange of cyclic process data between a Pi application and a Real-Time Ethernet network. The module is compatible with the Hardware Attached on Top (HAT) specification of Raspberry. Pi and netHAT communicate via the SPI0 interface. Thanks to the multiprotocol capability of the Industrial Network controller netX the integration into networks such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP or EtherCAT is just a matter of a firmware load procedure. The DVD includes a ready-to-use driver that configures the module to 32 bytes input and 32 bytes output fix for each of the networks. Also included are the device description files needed for the network engineering softwares during commissioning times.
